As we continue our Artists’ Spotlight Series, we present to you Ivonne Bess. I would summarize Ivonne; best-known for her “larger than life” colored pencil portraits of legendary rock stars. As you enter the Gallery you are visually greeted by Keith, John, and George - “Impressive!”

Now, let’s take closer examination of Ivonne’s work.

The use of darks against lights in a pronounced “stage-lit” presence incorporates the individual’s features to speak dramatically strong. The skin tones dance with strategically placed accents of greens, blues, and reds that tie together and unify the facial presentation. Her drawings are one of a kind...superb, enjoyable, and only Ivonne’s.
